How to Commission
The Commissioning Process
A deposit is required in order for our artists to start any commission. Please read our terms and conditions for commissioning details.
You can choose a particular artist or style that we have on our list. We then instruct our specialist artists with your requirements. If you have no preference as to who produces the work, we will commission the right artist who is best suited for the job.
Choose the size of artwork you would like us to produce and the medium in which you prefer. You can check out the various sizes of artworks, prices and mediums on the pricing page. Alternatively, you can tell us your budget and preferred medium and then we can advise you as to what is available within that price.
To produce a quality piece of art, the artists require reference material in the form of good quality photographs or other similar visual material. As the client, you would supply the references of your choice for the artist to work from. The better the material, the better the artwork would be. Working from poor reference material will not yield accurate results.
Sittings or photographic sessions can be arranged but these would incur a separate cost to that quoted for the artwork.
Upon receipt of the deposit, reference material and instruction of what is required, the artist will then produce the artwork. The time this would take may be from two to six weeks, depending upon the size and complexity of the job.
Once the artwork is completed and in the case of oil paints, the painting has dried, we will forward you a note or email to inform you of the finished piece and send an invoice for the balance payment due. Once the payment has been paid and processed we will then despatch the artwork on to you.
Please note that our artists are extremely popular and in great demand, so a waiting list for their time may occur at times. We will advise each client if a waiting list occurs.
