Peter Bainbridge
Biography
Peter Bainbridge was born in Stanwell, Middlesex, UK in 1964.
At the age of 16 he left secondary education to start an apprenticeship in a plant nursery cultivating indoor and outdoor plants. After ten years of working at the plant nursery, Peter decided he would like to set up his own landscaping business and promptly did so. It was at this time that Peter started using watercolour paints to colour ‘garden plan’ drawings for his clients. In his spare time he was producing his first bird paintings for fun.
In 1994 Peter gave up his landscaping business to pursue a full time painting career, for which he has achieved an international reputation for his artwork. He has sold paintings at Christie’s and Sotheby’s auctions and has shown many works at the Society of Wildlife Artists' exhibition at The Mall Galleries in London. He exhibits each year at the CLA Game Fair, South of England Agricultural Show and at the prestigious Wild In Du Natuur Exhibition in Holland.
Peter has painted a lot of wildlife and bird paintings however, he loves to paint horses and has now concentrated his career on equestrian subjects. He has completed many commissions for clients from all over Europe, including the Honourable Nicholas Soames MP.
